I am begining a series of portraits of war veterans. This is T.E. Carr. He served in 4 battles of World War II. He survived a morter attack where 20 surrounding men were killed. He got hit with shrapnal in the legs and forhead. He is 93 years old and is legally blind. Other than this, he is very healthy.
I don't know about photography, so pay me no mind if I'm wrong, but this kinda looks more like an ID shot rather than a portrait, I think perhaps this might've looked better a bit zoomed out. Funny thing is that when you look at someone like this you think: 'Grandpa! ^_^' and not soldier.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
